Over the weekend, Chance the Rapper appeared on Pharrell‘s Beats 1 radio show “OTHERtone.” He discussed fatherhood and his four-month-old daughter. Watch a clip from the program below, and listen to the whole show here.

During the show, Chance also announced that he’s getting his own Beats 1 show. Chance also talked about the immense impact Michael Jackson had on his life, said his mother gave him more musical influence than his father did, and credits his father (who works in the Mayor of Chicago’s office) for helping him with his many community outreach programs.

Chance also discussed the prevalence of police violence and racial profiling in Chicago and across the country. He said, “There’s a real genocide going on, and nobody really gives a fuck about it.” They closed out the episode with quick game of “Would You Rather?”

During the program, Pharrell played a special Kanye West mix. It featured songs from across West’s discography, as well as tracks he produced, like Jay Z’s “Lucifer”, the Game’s “Wouldn’t Get Far,” and more. He also played some of Chance’s music, including 10 Day‘s “Hey Ma” and “14,400 Minutes,” as well as newer songs like “Sunday Candy,” “Israel (Sparring),” and more. Pharrell continued the Chicago-theme show with songs by R. Kelly, Chief Keef, Mick Jenkins, Vic Mensa, and more.

Last month, Chance teased new music from his upcoming third mixtape, the long-awaited follow-up to 2013′s Acid Rap.
