Charli XCX Pushes Album Back Due to Success of "Boom Clap"

Charli XCX has pushed back the release date of her upcoming album, Sucker. It will be now be out December 16 in the U.S. and January 26 in the UK/Europe, via Neon Gold/Atlantic. (It was originally slated for October 21.) That’s the cover art, above.

On Twitter, she said the reason for the change was the success of her single, “Boom Clap”, from the Fault in Our Stars soundtrack.

I’m overwhelmed by the love for boom clap & the support from all u angels, I need to put the date back so I can launch the album properly…
