Chilly Gonazales Breaks Down Drake’s Music on New Episode of “Music’s Cool”

Composer and self-proclaimed music nerd Chilly Gonzales has a Apple Music Beats 1 show called “Music’s Cool,” where he breaks down the music of some of pop’s biggest stars. (His inaugural episode went in on the discography of his past collaborators Daft Punk.) Now, Gonzales has shared the third installment of “Music’s Cool,” where he discusses the music of Drake. Gonzales uses “Marvin’s Room” (which he played on) as a jumping-off point to examine Drake’s sing-rapping tendencies and affinity for ambiguous major chords. Listen to the full show below.
