Coachella 2016: Sufjan Stevens and Gallant Perform Prince's "Purple Rain"

In addition to a tribute from LCD Soundsystem during their headlining set later that night, several other artists paid homage to the late Prince during the second weekend of CoachellaSufjan Stevens was joined by Gallant during his set for a cover of “Purple Rain.” Earlier in the day, Gallant also covered “Diamonds and Pearls” during his own set with assistance from Jhené Aiko. Of course, many other artists have covered Prince in the past couple days. Watch footage of Stevens, Gallant, and Aiko’s performances below.

Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota on Thursday at 57. Support has poured out from across the musical community.
