Coke Boys Rapper Chinx Dead at 31

Chinx, the Coke Boys rapper formerly known as Chinx Drugz, was shot multiple times and killed early this morning in Queens, TMZ reports. He was 31.
Chinx, born Lionel Pickens, released a string of mixtapes since 2009. He hadn’t released a debut album, though he’d intended to call it Welcome to JFK, Fader reports. French Montana recently shared the Chinx-featuring single “Off the Rip”.
“We are very saddened at the loss of our brother chinx,” reads a statement from Coke Boys. “please keep his family & friends in your prayers.”
“Seeing shit like happen always make my heart cold and make me act in cold ways towards my own kind of people,” wrote Meek Mill. “I hate to see potential DIE!! REST WELL #CHINX WE GONE FUCKING MISS YOU!!!”
