Common Releases New Song “Lovestar”: Listen

Common has released a new song, “Lovestar,” featuring Marsha Ambrosius and PJ. It’s out via Def Jam. Hear it below (via Exclaim!).

Common’s last album, Nobody’s Smiling, arrived back in 2014. In a recent interview with WBUR, he said his next record is called A Bigger Picture Called Free. He described it as “a social, political piece of art.” Back in June, he joined Gregory Porter and Keyon Harold for a new song in observance of World Refugee Day, “Running (Refugee Song).”
