Common Teams With Hamilton Director for Hip Hop Sitcom “93 Til Infinity”

Common has teamed up with Hamilton director Thomas Kail and “How to Make It in America” creator Ian Edelman for “93 Til Infinity,” a new sitcom for Fox. Common, Kail, and Edelman will serve as executive producers on the show along with Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. (93 ‘Til Infinity was also the name of Souls of Mischief’s 1993 debut album). Deadline reports:

Written by Edelman based on an original idea, 93 til Infinity centers on a prolific (black) rapper from the ‘90s, struggling in present day to figure out the next chapter of his life, who reconnects with his (white) best friend from middle school, struggling with family and real responsibilities, equally desperate for a midlife reboot.

Common’s new album, Black America Again, is set to be released on November 4.
