Courtney Barnett’s “Elevator Operator” Video Stars Sleater-Kinney, Jeff Tweedy, More: Watch

Courtney Barnett has shared a new video for “Elevator Operator,” a highlight from last year’s excellent Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit. The Sunny Leunig-directed clip opens with a sketch in which Sleater-Kinney play hapless tourists, before we follow Barnett, dashing past in an elevator-operator outfit, on her way to work. Once there, she witnesses a series of bizarre elevator-based scenes, including one in which Jeff Tweedy ponders a chess move while presenting her with a banana. Other cameos include Magda Szubanski, the Drones, Tim Rogers, and Paul Kelly. Watch it below.

Barnett has also announced her final U.S. shows of 2016: She’ll play Austin, TX’s Sound on Sound fest on November 4, before an Ogden Theatre show in Denver, CO November 8.
