David Bowie Shares New Track "'Tis a Pity She Was a Whore"

David Bowie‘s second new song since the release of last album The Next Day is ”‘Tis a Pity She Was a Whore”. (Salty!) The B-side to “Sue (Or In a Season of Crime)” is out now digitally in the UK and the U.S. tomorrow. It will appear on a limited edition 10″ single and digital bundle with “Sue (Or In a Season of Crime)”, which is out November 17 via ParlophoneBBC Radio 6 Music DJ Shaun Keaveny played the track on his show this morning. According to a post on Bowie’s Facebook page, the song “acknowledges the shocking rawness of the First World War,” and gets its title from a play from the 1600s by John Ford. Bowie describes the song as, “If Vorticists wrote Rock Music it might have sounded like this”.

David Bowie’s Nothing Has Changed compilation, which surveys 50 years of Bowie, is out November 17.
