David Byrne Recruits Jonny Greenwood, Eno, Dirty Projectors' David Longstreth, Sunn O))), More for Meltdown Festival

David Byrne has been tapped to curate the lineup for this year’s Meltdown Festival, which takes place August 17-30 at the Southbank Centre in London. Guests include Jonny Greenwood, Brian Eno, Sunn O))), Dirty Projectors frontman David Longstreth, Anna Calvi, Sinkane, Herbert, Young Marble Giants, Zun Zun Egui, and more. See the full lineup here.

Greenwood will join the London Contemporary Orchestra to perform his There Will Be Blood soundtrack, with Greenwood on Ondes Martenot. Eno will unveil a new “large-scale sound installation.” Byrne will play in the Atomic Bomb! band – which includes Alexis Taylor, Sinkane, LCD Soundsystem’s Pat Mahoney, and others – performing the music of William Onyeabor.

As part of the festival, Byrne has also lent his personal library of 500 music books to the Saison Poetry Library, where they will be available to the public to read and borrow.
