Dinosaur Jr. have a week-long residency going at New York’s Bowery Ballroom to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their debut album Dinosaur. Every show has featured a series of special guests. Last night, they were joined by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Henry Rollins, and soul singer Charles Bradley.
Tweedy assisted on a cover of Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer” and “Tarpit” (from You’re Living All Over Me). Rollins provided vocals on “Don’t” (from Bug). Bradley came through with a cover of Young’s “Heart of Gold”. Watch video of the performances below.
Two nights ago, Dinosaur Jr. covered “Cortez the Killer” with Fred Armisen and Lee Ranaldo. The night before that, they covered it with Kurt Vile and played “Don’t” with Kim Gordon.
