Diplo Reissuing Florida, Shares Unreleased Track "As I Lay Dying"

Ten years later, Diplo‘s 2004 album Florida is getting reissued, Rolling Stone reports. It’s coming out via the same label that originally released it, Big Dada, on Black Friday (November 28). Check out the previously unreleased album outtake “As I Lay Dying”, plus “Into the Sun” featuring Martina Topley-Bird, below.

“As I Lay Dying” is one of five unreleased tracks that will be packaged with the reissue. His 2003 Epistemology Suite EP (released under the name Diplodocus) will also be included with the LP.

Diplo called the album a representation of “my first 23 years of my life”. Here’s what he said in a statement about the record (via Rolling Stone):

“I made Florida between a small apartment in Philadelphia and my mother’s house in Florida. I was working late nights and taking a bus through the city every night, smoking weed, putting on headphones and just making things I never heard before and could just imagine. Making this record created an entirely new world for me.”
