Earlier this year, it was reported that Apple and their recently acquired Beats Music team (including Trent Reznor) were working to launch a new streaming service and redesigned iOS music app. According to Billboard‘s sources, Drake and Pharrell Williams are confirmed to be a part of the revamped service.

It’s unclear exactly what role they play in the new service, which is expected to be unveiled at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference next week. Some reports indicated that they’re signed on as “guest DJs” for a rebooted iTunes Radio. According to Billboard‘s sources, the rumor going around that Drake is being paid $19 million by Apple is untrue.

Drake was reportedly approached by Jay Z to be one of Tidal’s artist partners. In Jay Z’s recent “Tidal Freestyle”, he alluded to asking Williams for advice.
