Drake Honors the Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie at Raptors Game: Watch
The Toronto Raptors played the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, where known Raptors fan Drake was in attendance. Also at the game, seated courtside, was the Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie. The two Canadian musicians ended up meeting during halftime, as the Sports Network points out, with Drake bowing in front of Downie before embracing him. Watch that go down below. Last fall saw Downie releasing a new solo album, Secret Path. Earlier that year, the Tragically Hip announced that Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
