Drake Partnering With Sotheby's to Soundtrack Art Exhibition

Drake has announced a partnership with multinational collectibles monolith Sotheby’sThe New York Times reports that as a pro bono gesture, the musician will be taking part in an upcoming exhibition of works by contemporary black American artists at Sotheby’s S2 Gallery in New York City, April 28-June 12.

Drake (or is it Draketheby?) won’t be buying or selling any art at this event, though. Rather, he’s curating the soundtrack for the showcase, which includes works by Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu and Jean-Michel Basquiat, according to the Times. Once the exhibition opens, Sotheby’s visitors will be able to check out his selections on listening stations. If You’re Reading This It’s [Probably] Too Late to afford priceless art – but at least there’s music.
