Drake to Lil Wayne: “We Are Fighting Until You Get Freedom to Drop Music and Peace of Mind”

Over the weekend, Lil Wayne tweeted he was “defenseless and mentally defeated,” concluding, “I’m dun.” (He later wrote, “I’m good y’all don’t trip.”) Artists including Chance the Rapper, Missy Elliot, and Flying Lotus rallied round to show their support. The next night, Drake brought out Wayne at his show in Houston, where Wayne shouted, “Fuck Cash Money”—echoing what he said at another Drake show last week. After the concert, Drake wrote a note to Wayne on Instagram, saying, “I don’t know what these other weirdos are on with all the side talks but I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favor.” Onetime Wayne adversary Young Thug also showed his support on Twitter. See it all below.
