Earl Sweatshirt Gets Animated in Samiyam’s “Mirror” Video: Watch

Earlier this year, Samiyam released his album Animals Have Feelings. Today, he’s shared the video for the Earl Sweatshirt-featuring “Mirror.” It features a cartoon Earl (animated by Ruff Mercy) rapping as various characters flash about the screen. Watch it below.

Before its inclusion on Animals Have Feelings, Earl wanted “Mirror” on his 2015 LP I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, but it got cut at the last minute due to issues with sample clearance. Earl told Pitchfork about the song last year. He said, “It’s funny: When I was making the album, I was talking about making ‘mirror raps,’ which are fly for you when you’re getting ready to go to school. Raps you’re trying say in the damn mirror.” Read the full interview, “The Proverbial Wisdom of Earl Sweatshirt.”
