Ex-Pearl Jam Drummer Disses Band for Rock Hall Snub

Yesterday, Pearl Jam were nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. They made the list in their first year of eligibility. On its website, the Rock Hall list Pearl Jam’s current lineup, as well as original drummer Dave Krusen, as potential inductees. Absent from the list is another former drummer: Dave Abbruzzese, who has now responded to the snub. He wrote on his Facebook that his former bandmates “have got to know what’s the right thing to do.” See his post below.

Abbruzzese joined Pearl Jam in 1991 following the departure of Matt Chamberlin, who had initially replaced Krusen. He played on 1993’s Vs. and 1994’s Vitalogy, before he was fired from the band in 1994.

The 2017 inductees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be announced in December. Read “A Rock Hall Voter Breaks Down the Most Epic Nomination Class in Decades” on the Pitch.
