Father John Misty Sings About VR Sex With Taylor Swift in New Song “Total Entertainment Forever”: Listen

Tonight on “Saturday Night Live,” Father John Misty will perform a new song from his upcoming album Pure Comedy. It’s titled “Total Entertainment Forever,” and it kicks off with a line about virtual reality sex with Taylor Swift: “Bedding Taylor Swift every night inside the Oculus Rift/After mister and the missus finish dinner and the dishes.” Listen to the song below.

This follows the Taylor Swift covers he shared in 2015 (done in the style of “Ryan Adams via the Smiths via the Velvet Underground”) and his story about taking acid at a Swift concert (which apparently inspired that Lana Del Rey video).

Pure Comedy is out April 7 via Sub Pop/Bella Union. So far, Father John Misty has released “Pure Comedy,“ “Two Wildly Different Perspectives,” “Ballad of the Dying Man,” and the 13-minute “Leaving LA.” Tillman will be touring behind the LP this year.
