Fleet Foxes Award Crack-Up Test Pressings to 20 Fans

Robin Pecknold has been very active on Instagram throughout the process of making the new Fleet Foxes LP Crack-Up. He’s offered snippets of new music and shared album updates, detailed plans for the band tour, revealed the album’s length and influences, and said that the new album picks up right where 2011’s Hopelessness Blues left off. Recently, he previewed the new Crack-Up vinyl packaging. Twenty of Pecknold’s most active Instagram commenters won’t need one, though, because they were each awarded signed test pressings of the new album. Pecknold fittingly took to Instagram to announce the winners. 

“You all are the 20 most frequent commenters on this page, and you’ve been really funny / kind / supportive through this whole process of writing, recording, and now releasing ‘Crack-Up,’” he wrote. “As a way of expressing my gratitude for that, we’ve made 20 test pressings of the Crack-Up 2x vinyl LP and all signed them.” He later added, “This is the only way anyone anywhere could get this particular thing.” Check it out below.
