Flo Morrissey and Matthew E. White Team Up for New Album of Covers From Leonard Cohen, Frank Ocean, James Blake, More

Flo Morrissey and Matthew E. White have teamed up for a new album. It’s called Gentlewoman, Ruby Man, and it’s out January 13 via Glassnote. The album is composed of a series of covers of Lou Reed, James Blake, the Velvet Underground, Frankie Valli, Frank Ocean, Leonard Cohen, and more. Below you can find the album’s tracklist and artwork. The announcement includes the first cover: Little Wings’ “Look At What The Light Did Now.” Listen below.

In an accompanying behind-the-scenes video, watch the duo explain collaborating to make the record, as they make their cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinking Bout You.” In 2015, Flo Morrisey released her debut album, Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful, and Matthew E. White released his latest, Fresh Blood.
