Four Tet Says He Was in Radiohead’s "Creep" Video

Yesterday, Four Tet joined BBC 6 Music’s Gilles Peterson for a two-hour special about his career called Words & Music With Four Tet. The chat spans his early days in Fridge through to getting covered by J Dilla, teaming with the late Steve Reid, and many more landmark moments. Within the retrospective is one revelation: Back in 1993, long before he supported Radiohead and collaborated with Thom Yorke, Hebden appeared as an extra in the band’s video for “Creep”. He would’ve been about 15 at the time. It’s unlikely you’ll make him out amidst the longhaired mass, but you can check it out below. “I got invited to go on tour with Radiohead,” says Hebden, discussing the period around 2003. “They were absolutely huge and I’d been a fan since the Drill EP had come out. I’m in the video for “Creep” in the audience. I followed them really closely from the very beginning. And I was being asked to open for them because they were fans of the record, and it made me think, live electronic music, I should get into that.”
