Frank Ocean Launches Mysterious Live Stream

Frank Ocean is up to something. This morning, his glacially updated website, boysdontcry.co, added a new, Apple Music-hosted video live stream. For now, it’s playing nothing but a couple of workbenches in a large empty hall, with occasional muffled chatter in the background. (Some browsers appear to have trouble displaying the video; it works well on mobile.) It marks the first update to the website since the mysterious “date due” slip uploaded last month, suggesting the album was due in either July or—possibly due to a mistake—November 13, 2016. The website’s source code, which gives little away, has been updated with a “boysdontcry” graphic and details of Kanye web designer David Baker. Take a look at the video here.

Last April, Ocean announced that the record would be released in July—a deadline that came and went. This year, he surfaced on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo and James Blake’s The Colour in Anything and starred in Calvin Klein’s Fall 2016 campaign.
