Franz Ferdinand Share New Anti-Trump Song “Demagogue”: Listen
Franz Ferdinand have shared a new song called “Demagogue;” listen to it below via Spotify. It is an explicitly anti-Trump track, and the latest from the 30 Days, 30 Songs program created by writer Dave Eggers. It kicked off earlier this week with Death Cab for Cuties’ “Million Dollar Loan.”
The program will release a new song everyday until Election Day (Tuesday, November 8). Aimee Man, Bhi Bhiman, and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James have also shared music as part of the program. Listen to their contributions here. The entirety of 30 Days’ proceeds will go to the Center for Popular Democracy and their efforts toward Universal Voter Registration for all Americans.
In July, Nick McCarthy left Franz Ferdinand. He’s since started a new project called Manuela with his wife, singer-songwriter Manuela Gernedel. Franz Ferdinand’s last album was 2015’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.
