Today is Record Store Day and Future Islands have just shared their brand new record. “The Chase” was recorded live at Abbey Road Studios and then cut direct to vinyl. There’s only one copy, which will be sold by a UK record store—Seismic Records in Warwickshire—so only one very lucky individual will get to own the thing. Mercifully, the band shared the song with the rest of the world via Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 6 show this morning. Listen here around the 2:19:00 mark.

There’s also an interview with the band before the song. “The funny thing was that after three and a half hours of preparation, it took three minutes to make the record, which I think was the amazing thing in the end,” Samuel T. Herring said in an interview. “It’s totally crazy. It’s stressful!”

On July 18, Future Islands will perform at Pitchfork Music Festival.
