Giant Drag’s Annie Hardy Announces Debut Solo Album Rules, Shares New Song: Listen

Giant Drag lead vocalist Annie Hardy has announced her debut solo album. It’s called Rules, and it’s out April 7 via Full Psycho/American Primitive Records. Listen to the lead single “Want” below. It features the Germs’ Don Bolles on drums and Pink Mountaintops/Black Mountain’s Stephen McBean on guitar. Scroll down for the full tracklist.

According to a press release, Hardy wrote the record in the wake of losing her newborn baby to SIDS. The next year, her boyfriend—the baby’s father—died. In a recent LA Weekly interview, Hardy said, “After my son died, it all had to come back out…. Writing these songs saved me.”
