Gone Is Gone (Mastodon, QOTSA, At the Drive-In) Share New Track “Starlight”: Listen

Members of Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age, and At the Drive-In have formed a supergroup called Gone Is Gone.  Troy Sanders (Mastodon), Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA), Tony Hajjar (At the Drive-In), and Mike Zarin have shared another new song from their debut self-titled EP, which is out July 8. “Starlight” follows “Violescent.” The song was premiered on “Start Making Sense,” the Beats 1 show hosted by Savages’ Jehnny Beth. Van Leeuwen also sat down for an interview, where he discussed the band’s formation, process, and busy schedules. “We’re still trying to have it be something that’s cinematic more than a rock band,” he said of the Gone Is Gone’s aesthetic. Listen below via Apple Music.
