Grimes stopped by the Beats 1 studios yesterday for a chat with Zane Lowe. They discussed her latest album Art Angels, particularly how she wanted “California” to sound like a “dancehall country song,” the genre “grime,” Burial, and more. During the conversation, Claire Boucher shared a 40-minute mix featuring songs like Chairlift’s “Ch-Ching,” Perfume Genius’ “Fool,” JME’s “Integrity,” Tei Shei’s “Basically,” Insane Clown Posse, and more.
