Guitar Hero Relaunches With War on Drugs, Black Keys, Rage Against the Machine, Sleigh Bells, More

Remember Guitar Hero? The video game franchise went away for five years, but a new installment is coming out this fall. Guitar Hero Live features a new plastic instrument and live action sequences in which you perform in front of video of an audience, instead of the old animated characters.

The initial list of featured songs has now been announced, as Rolling Stone reports. It includes The War on Drugs (“Under the Pressure”), the Black Keys (“Gold on the Ceiling”), Sleigh Bells (“Bitter Rivals”), Rage Against the Machine (“Guerilla Radio”), the Rolling Stones (“Paint It Black”), the Killers (“When You Were Young”), alt-J (“Left Hand Free”), Skrillex (“Bangarang”), and Broken Bells (“Leave It Alone”), and more. Check out a full list here.

Additionally, the game will feature GHTV—a 24-hour music video network where players can play along to music videos, while challenging similarly skilled opponents.

Guitar Hero Live will be available for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Nintendo WiiU. A mobile edition is also being planned.
