Weezer and Wavves recently announced a split 7” on Nathan Williams’ Ghost Ramp label. Today, Wavves have shared their cover of Weezer’s “You Gave Your Life to Me Softly” from the single. The song was originally the B-side to Pinkerton’s “El Scorcho.” Hear Wavves’ rendition below, via CLRVYNT.
Wavves’ cover is the B-side to Weezer X Wavves 7”. On the A-side is a previously unreleased Weezer song, “Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter.” The record is now available to pre-order.
