Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard Announces New Album Electric Lines, Shares New Video: Watch

Hot Chip‘s Joe Goddard has announced his new album Electric Lines—his first since his debut 2009 album Harvest Festival. It’s out April 21 via Greco-Roman/Domino. The album features his previously shared single “Lose Your Love,” and today, he’s shared a video for his latest single “Music Is the Answer.” It’s helmed by the collective Shynola (who have also worked on Radiohead, Beck, Blur, and Queens of the Stone Age). Find the video and the album’s tracklist below. The deluxe edition vinyl package comes with a 12″ featuring three bonus tracks recorded during the album’s sessions.

Director Richard Kenworthy said of the video:

“The message of this track really resonated with us coming off the back of what for most people was a dispiriting year. We’d recently been reading about the AWOL Hitomi satellite, and also the incredible Pinchas Gutter hologram and that lead to imagine a story about a satellite lost in the vastness of space, broadcasting a recorded message of hope.”
