Iggy Pop Announces Post Pop Depression Live Album and Concert Film

In May, Iggy Pop performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall in support of the release of his album Post Pop DepressionA film and full recording of that concert will be released on October 28 by Eagle Rock Entertainment. It will be available as a digital release or as physical packages that include a Blu-ray or DVD of the film, and a 2XCD recording of the concert.

Iggy Pop’s backing band that night included Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal’s Josh Homme (who collaborated with Iggy on the making of Post Pop Depression), Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen (also of QOTSA), Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders, and Chavez’s Matt Sweeney. They performed songs from the new album, as well as songs from The Idiot and Lust for Life. You can find the album’s tracklist here. Below you can watch a preview of the concert film.

Later this year, Jim Jarmusch’s documentary on Iggy and the StoogesGimme Dangeris slated to be released.
