Interpol Confirm Carlos D Won’t Join Turn On the Bright Lights Tour

Interpol’s Paul Banks has categorically stated that estranged bassist Carlos Dengler will not join them on their upcoming tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of Turn On the Bright Lights.  “There has not been any discussion,” he told Matt Wilkinson on Beats 1. Asked what would happen if he were to reach out, Banks added, “That’s a hypothetical that’s… I don’t think it’s likely that he’s going to reach out. I really think Carlos is doing his own thing now. I understand why people would be interested in that, but the reality is, the social dynamic … is that I don’t have any contact with Carlos.” Listen to the segment below, and hear the full show at 12 p.m. Eastern this Saturday.
