Jack White Shares New Version of the Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama”: Listen

On September 9, Jack White will release the career-spanning album Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016. As the title indicates, it features acoustic versions of songs from across his discography, as well as alternate takes on White Stripes and the Raconteurs tracks. Today, he’s shared an “Acoustic Mix” of the Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama,” from the band’s 2008 record Consolers of the Lonely. It premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show. Hear it below.

The Raconeturs released two albums: 2006’s Broken Boy Soldiers and 2008’s Consolers. Last year, White reunited the band at a show in Nashville. They performed with Loretta Lynn.

Third Man has also announced today that Jack White’s upcoming album will be available on a limited edition blue vinyl, exlusive at Third Man Records in Nashville and Cass Corridor, Detroit storefronts. It’s out on the September 9 release date. That same day, White will perform on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
