James Holden and Luke Abbott Announce Split Double Album

Two British producers are connecting on a new split double album. James Holden and Luke Abbott‘s Outdoor Museum of Fractals/555Hz is out February 26 via the Border Community.

The albums are described by the label as “extended synth meditations.” Both pieces, which are over 30 minutes each, were conceived as part of a celebration of the great minimalist composer Terry Riley. Holden’s Outdoor Museum of Fractals is a collaboration with tabla player Camilo Tirado. Abbott’s 555Hz is a metallic gong drone record.
