James Murphy Announces Remixes Made With Tennis Data Album, Previews “Match 176″

Earlier this year, James Murphy teamed up with IBM to convert the raw data from U.S. Open tennis matches into music. Using an algorithm, Murphy and IBM created over 400 hours of sound. Murphy then culled some of his favorite passages into a series of remixes.

Two of those remixes were released earlier this year, but now, IBM has announced the release of Remixes Made With Tennis Data, a 12-track album. It’ll be out on the IBM Soundcloud on December 19. Above, you can listen to a snippet of a track titled “Match 176″.
