Jarvis Cocker Covers Celine Dion, Jonah Hill Covers Drake, Terius Nash Covers M.I.A., Scarlett Johansson Covers New Order at Vice's 20th Birthday Bash

You know how Vice threw their 20th birthday party yesterday? Reports have surfaced from the show—it sounds like it was an absurd, amazing night. Yes, there were performances from the previously announced lineup (Jarvis Cocker, Lil Wayne, Ghostface Killah, Action Bronson, Chromeo, Stephen Malkmus, Andrew W.K., Black Lips, more), but there were also loads of surprises.

Here are a few things that happened last night:

  • Jarvis Cocker did Celine Dion’s “Power of Love”.
  • Jonah Hill and Spike Jonze covered Drake’s song “Marvin’s Room”.
  • Stephen Malkmus covered the Black Crowes’ song “Remedy”.
  • The Black Lips and Fucked Up’s Damian Abraham did Jay Reatard’s “My Shadow”.
  • Terius Nash (aka The-Dream) covered M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes”.
  • Lil Wayne confirmed that he’ll be leaving Cash Money “soon”.
  • Perfect Pussy’s Meredith Graves introduced a song by saying, “NYPD, everybody is watching. Black lives matter.” Then, she did the Strokes’ song “New York City Cops”.
  • Scarlett Johansson covered New Order.
  • Pussy Riot paid tribute to Le Tigre, doing their track “Deceptacon”.
  • Cassie Ramone joined Nick Thorburn to do the Unicorns’ “I Was Born (a Unicorn)”.
  • There was free falafel.
