Jay Z Shares New Song “spiritual” in Response to Police Brutality: Listen

Jay Z has released a new song in the wake of the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police officers earlier this week. It’s called “spiritual.” Stream it here and below. The new song is accompanied by a short note from Jay Z, stating that it’s an unfinished track that he’s been holding onto for a few years. “Punch (TDE) told me I should drop it when Mike Brown died, sadly I told him, ‘this issue will always be relevant,’” the note reads. “I’m saddened and disappointed in THIS America – we should be further along. WE ARE NOT.” Find the full note below.
