Jeezy Sued for Wrongful Death in 2014 Shooting: Report

Jeezy is the defendant in a new wrongful death lawsuit, according to TMZ. The family of Eric Johnson, a concert promoter who was shot and killed in 2014 while backstage at a Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa concert in Mountain View, CA, has brought the suit against the rapper. According to TMZ, the family is noting in their legal documents that witnesses at the time described the alleged shooter as looking similar to Jeezy. The rapper was arrested for possession of an assault rifle following that shooting. Johnson’s family are reportedly suing for “funeral expenses and other damages.” Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Jeezy for comment.
