Jeff Lynne’s ELO Announce New Album Alone In the Universe, Share “When I Was a Boy”

Jeff Lynne has announced a new Electric Light Orchestra album under the name Jeff Lynne’s ELO. It’s called Alone In the Universe, and it’s the first new album of ELO music since 2001′s Zoom. That’s the cover above; it’ll be out November 13 via Columbia. Below, check out “When I Was a Boy”, the LP’s first single.

“Music is such a powerful force in our lives,” Lynne said in a statement. “A good song can make people feel much less alone in this universe. And trying to create one of those songs somehow makes me feel less alone too. My whole life—from being that kid with a dream in Birmingham right until today—proves how much music can do.”
