JEFFERY (Young Thug) Shares New Song “ELTON” With Wyclef Jean: Listen

Young Thug has been promoting an upcoming mixtape called Jeffery on his Instagram, which was originally teased for an August 16 release. As the supposed release date neared, speculation rose that Jeffery was not just a mixtape, but a wholesale change for Young Thug involving a name change. Lyor Cohen—founder of 300 Entertainment, to which Thug is signed—fanned the flames when he said that the rapper, whose legal name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, would henceforth go by “No, My Name Is Jeffery.” Jeffery has yet to arrive, but today, 300 has shared a new song credited to JEFFERY. It’s called “ELTON” and it features Wyclef Jean with production from Wheezy and Cassius Jay. The caption teases, “JEFFERY Coming Soon …” Check it out below.
