John Malkovich Gets Naked for Illuminated Picture Disc Featuring Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, More

Last year, composer Eric Alexandrakis sent several ambient songs to actor John Malkovich. Then, Malkovich recited Plato’s Cave Allegory over the tracks, before sending the results to various artists for reinterpretation on the special Record Store Day release Like a Puppet Show. Now, a few of that record’s tracks are being reissued as Illuminated, Fact reports. As you can see above, Malkovich posed nude to provide some the striking art for the 12″ picture discs. (On a second disc, he strikes the same pose while wearing a suit.) It was shot by another Like a Puppet Show collaborator, Sandro, who’s also directed a forthcoming Allegory of the Cave film. As well as Like a Puppet Show remixes by Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon, Dweezil Zappa, and Sameer Gandhia of Young the Giant, Illuminated will also feature a new track called “Cryogenia” mixed by Alexandrakis himself.
