Julian Casablancas and The Voidz Perform the Strokes’ "You Only Live Once" With Devonté Hynes At New York Show

Julian Casablancas and the Voidz are currently on tour in support of their recent album Tyranny. Last night, they performed at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and Casablancas brought out Blood Orange‘s Devonté Hynes (who opened for the band) to do the Strokes’ “You Only Live Once”. According to We All Want Someone To Shout For, Casablancas also brought out fellow openers, Seattle rap collective Shabazz Palaces, to perform Tyranny cut “Father Electricity”. Footage of that performance has yet to surface.

Casablancas and Hynes have teamed up several times recently – most recently on Know-Wave radio, as well as for a secret show at Shea Stadium.
