Kanye West's New G.O.O.D. Music Signee Holt Covers Kavinsky's "Nightcall" From Drive in New Video

The Chicago artist Holt (formerly known as Hollywood Holt), member of Treated Crew, recently signed to Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. Today, he’s shared his first taste of new music: a cover of Kavinsky‘s “Nightcall” (which was famously featured in the Drive soundtrack). Watch the clip, directed by Holt and Chelsea Lombardo, below via Pitchfork.tv. Listen to the track above.

The track was produced by Mano and features vocals from Glass Lux‘s Emily Morse.

An album is due soon. The Kavinsky cover won’t appear on the album, nor will any rapping. The majority of Holt’s previous output has been as an MC (like his 2010 mixtape These Are The Songs That Didn’t Make The Album But Are Still Cold As Hell So Shut The Fuck Up Vol. 1). On his first long-player under the name Holt, he’ll stick to singing.

Previously, Holt also produced the Beyoncé/Andre 3000 cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” from the Great Gatsby soundtrack.
