Killer Mike Represents Bernie Sanders in Post-Debate Spin Room

Tonight, Senator Bernie Sanders participated in NBC News‘ Democratic Debate. Immediately after the debate, Killer Mike fielded questions on Sanders’ behalf in the spin room. He discussed why he supports Sanders’ policies, whether or not he would consider supporting Hillary Clinton, why Sanders was jealous of Mike’s attire during their first meeting, and why Sanders reminds Mike of the Beastie Boys.

When asked what he thought of Sanders’ skills as a speaker, he replied, “I think he’s damn good. I think he’s of the Beastie Boys’ lineage—he definitely could have killed it with the boys from Brooklyn.”

At one point, he was asked how he ended up supporting Sanders. Mike replied, “Smokin’ a joint, reading his tweets.”
