Yesterday, it was announced that singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen had died at the age of 82. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. He passed away on Monday and was buried yesterday at Montreal’s Congregation Shaar Hashomayim. Upon announcement of his death, people from around the music community and beyond paid their respects to the icon. Lana Del Rey, who covered Leonard Cohen’s 1974 song “Chelsea Hotel No. 2” in 2013, honored Cohen today with a post on her Instagram. Find the post below. “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t kind of break my heart that I never got to tell you how much you changed me,” she said in the caption of a clip with the cover. “Not that it would’ve mattered to ya, it’s just that other than Bob and Joan you were the only person I ever really felt spoke my language.”

Beck, Win Butler, Nick Cave, Ezra Koenig, and Justin Trudeau were among the many people who paid tribute to Leonard Cohen after hearing of his death. Earlier today, Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox penned a touching eulogy for the fallen icon.
