Lauryn Hill Covers Nina Simone's "Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair"

On July 10, RCA will release a Nina Simone tribute album called Nina Revisited: A Tribute To Nina Simone, which will be released in conjunction with the forthcoming documentary What Happened, Miss Simone?. Lauryn Hill has just shared a cover of Simone’s “Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair”, which will appear on the album. You can check it out below. Previously, Hill shared covers of “Feeling Good” and a part of “I’ve Got Life”.

Usher appears on the album, too; he’s shared his cover of “My Baby Just Cares For Me”, which you can also check out below.

The tribute album will also feature Mary J. Blige, Common, Gregory Porter, Jazmine Sullivan, and Lisa Simone (Nina Simone’s daughter).

What Happened, Miss Simone? debuts on Netflix on June 26.
