Lavender Country Cancels Tour

Lavender Country recently announced that they would be embarking on their first tour in 40 years. Later the tour was expanded– and now, it has been cancelled.

Lavender Country’s self-titled 1973 LP is often cited as the first country album by an openly-gay artist, Patrick Haggerty. As Brooklyn Vegan points out, the band announced their tour cancellation with a Facebook post that read: “Sorry to all, there will be no tour at this time.” The reason for the cancellation has not been identified.

Refunds will be issued to ticket holders. Check out the cancelled tour dates below.
