LCD Soundsystem might have a new song and virtual reality experience on the way, as VR Scout reports. The group allegedly debuted a web VR experience called “Dance Tonite” during Google’s I/O conference (where the band also live streamed a performance). It reportedly accompanies a new song “Tonite,” one of several tracks the band debuted during their Brooklyn Steel residency earlier this year. The blog post also links to a site (https://www.tonite.dance) that confirms that the “ever-changing VR experience” is due out summer 2017. Check out clips from the debut of “Dance Tonite” below. Pitchfork has reached out to LCD Soundsystem’s representatives for more information.
James Murphy recently confirmed that the new LCD Soundsystem album is finished and could be out in six weeks. The band previously released the new songs “Call the Police” and “American Dream.”
