LCD Soundsystem Sign to Columbia

LCD Soundsystem have signed a deal with Columbia Records, Billboard reports. Specifics of the Columbia deal are currently unknown. James Murphy has promised that LCD Soundsystem are working on their next album.

Columbia chairman Rob Stringer reportedly made the announcement at Billboard’s Power 100 event yesterday. We’ve reached out to Columbia, Murphy’s label DFA Records, and the band’s representatives for comment.

The band are planning to tour and have announced a series of festival appearances, including Coachella and Primavera.
